I was a nature lover and adventurer my life long. At the age of fourteen,
I had made a carbon drawing showing a rolling sea, a
palm tree and a sun going down, and I had written beside
it: "Summer, Sun & Freedom". Apparently it was my vision
of what I would like to do and where I would like to be.
Somewhere in a tropical climate.
About 20 years later, I had seen
the whole of Europe by travelling in a self-built
motorhome, when I started to build a seagoing 34'-yacht,
and when I reached 40 years, I had sailed the Atlantic
three times and seen the world, and I decided to stay in
the sunny Caribbean.
I had found the place I liked: the green hilly countryside in the
Northeast of the Dominican Republic, also called "
the
Switzerland of the Caribbean".
I am still
curious and when I hear there is a new cave to be
discovered somewhere in the mountains, I prepare my
backpack and I am on my way. Already in pension age, I
decided to put into practice all the lessons life has
tought me, and to share this with mind-like people like
you.
