For our vacation guests lodging here, different Eco-Tours are possible. Those being spectacular places, they are usually not crowded, better yet: they all are "untouched, unspoiled, unforgettable" – which was reason to protect the only "Ecological Corridor" in the East of the Dominican Republic.

Tour Description:

"Hiking Tour" (1.1)
which is nothing else than simply walking from the village of Pedro Sanchez to a nearby small settlement, called Mahagua. Visiting a typical local "Ranchito" to get the feeling of how local peoples are living there, having a refreshment and return to the Mirador "Vista del Valle".

"Small Cave Tour" (1.2)
We recommend to start exploring one of the many caves in the neighborhood of Pedro Sanchez by participating in our Small Cave tour which only needs your Hiking Boots and adventurous spirit.

"Balneario Ecoturistico" (1.3)
If you like sprinkling crystal-clear waters, you may walk to our nearby "Balneario Ecotouristico", which is nothing else than a favoured place at the riverside, where foreign visitors and the local villagers alike take a refreshing bath..

"Big Waterfall Tour " (1.4)
The crown of our tours in the vicinity of Pedro Sanchez is the tour to the "Salto del Rio", which means climbing up the mountain like a goat, before reaching there. But once arriving there (after approx. 3 hrs), you will agree: it was really worth doing it.
Pure nature at its best. The first third means crossing rural pasture, uphill, the second part get's more difficult, the third part is really adventurous. Well, but this is an adventurous Eco-tour, if you are not challenged by such, you are better spending your vacation day on the Beach of Miches.

" Horseriding Tour to Waterfall Marlboro" (1.5)
Making a Horse Riding Tour with us in small groups to spend a day  in nature, to reach the longstretched waterfall Marlboro, which is well visible from the road (at km 6), but can be reached only by foot or on horseback since there is no path yet to reach there. The horses are provided by local owners, we ourselves don't run a stable since we want that everybody in the small community can participate and benefit from the ecotourism that we organize.

Tour to the Cave  "La Chiva" (1.6)
This cave tour in the neighborhood of Pedro Sanchez is challenging. The cave is almost 200 yards deep, but accessible only from the top of a mountain crest: that means hiking up the mountain on a small goat path, until you reach the top of the mountain (la loma) - what a marvelous view from there! - and then you can discover what is yet invisible, deep down under your feet !
Don't worry, we are there to navigate you, to help you up and down again, and provide you with all the information you want to have, we interpret the environment and - last not least - we look after you and your well-being

"Whale-Watching Tour" (1.7)
On request, however during one or two months per year only, we offer "Whale -watching - tours" in the bay of Samana. which is a worldwide known attraction.

"Deep-sea fishing" Trip (1.8)
If you want to change the scenery, leaving the hills and the green nature behind you - then go out onto the big blue Sea, since we also offer a fishing trip in the Atlantic Ocean, starting from the nearby coast village of Miches in an open fisherman's boat. These tours are real adventurous Fishing trips, to catch famous Bluewater fish (like Dorade, Blue marlin, kingfish, etc).

Tour to Laguna “Limon” (1.9)
If you want to leave the mountains and valleys behind for a day and smell the Atlantic Sea and Mangroves, there is yet another interesting and exciting target in a special scientific area, protected since 1983. Such tour gives you another interesting learning experience to discover the eco-system and biological diversity of  "Laguna Limon " and its bird-, crab- and fish population.
